All the Answers to Your Questions
Is your produce chemical free?
Yes. We are currently not using any chemicals on our fields and while this may result in lower yields, we believe it is important to be natural with our methods.
How did you get rid of the Kudzu?
Well, the honest answer is we still fight it. For almost 7 years we cut the kudzu fields every month from April to October, so every time the kudzu vines started to grow back, we would cut them and force the plant to use the stored energy from its root ball. Over time this slowly depleted the energy so now most of our wild fields are grass/hay. We still have plenty of it for the goats to eat!
What do you grow?
As new farmers in Georgia sitting on red clay soil, it has been a learning process. We have lavender, strawberries, tomatoes, onions, herbs among other items - and it changes seasonally.
